NIKE PROSKILLS?
We are a Grassroots Youth Travel Basketball Organization that provides student athletes the opportunity to grow on and off the court. We take pride in being role models to the youth that participate in our program.

HOW CAN I STAY INFORMED OF WHAT’S GOING ON WITH THE CLUB?
Our monthly SMS newsletter or our APP are the best options.. We do our best to keep our website as up to date as possible, however, its always a good idea to have our club contact information for last minute questions. Our Instagram, Facebook and twitter accounts are automatically updated when we publish new content on our website.

WHEN ARE TRYOUTS?
Fall tryouts begin in August, Winter tryouts happen in December and Spring / Summer tryouts begin in January and February. High School varsity players will begin once their school seasons are over.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I MADE A TEAM?
If you make a team we will notify you by text & email within 1-2 days after the tryout. In the event that you do not make a team we will notify you within 3 days after the tryouts.

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT?
Upon acceptance of our offer, a nonrefundable membership deposit is required within 48 hours. The remaining balance is paid in monthly payments which is listed on our membership fee page. If a payment is not received on time we reserve the right to suspend your child from participation in our program. All payments are to be made online using a credit or debit card.

HOW MANY PLAYERS ARE ON EACH TEAM?
We typically carry 8-12 players on each team.

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND PRACTICE?
YES! Your coach has no obligation to play you if you are not attending practice. We expect you to make a commitment to attend every practice. The occasional miss is understandable and you are expected to communicate that with your coach via the GroupMe app. The same rules apply for tournaments.

WHERE ARE THE TOURNAMENTS PLAYED?
Most of the tournaments that our teams participate in will be in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. There will be some of our teams that will participate in out state tournaments to get more exposure.

HOW MANY TOURNAMENTS DO THE TEAMS PARTICIPATE IN?
Each of our teams could participate in 8-11 tournaments and schedules. Please note that dates are subject to change and more dates may be added or removed at a later time.

WHAT ARE THE ENTRANCE FEES AT THE TOURNAMENTS?
The entrance fees (for spectators) at these tournaments have increased significantly in the past few years. Please be prepared to pay anywhere for $10 – $20 per person for a tournament pass.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PARTICIPATE ON ONE OF YOUR TEAMS?
Our club fees differentiates from the different ages groups that we have. The club dues will cover uniforms, administrative duties, gym fees and tournament fees. There is a separate cost for out of town tournaments, which covers coaches’ travel and their lodging. The club dues will not cover player travel expenses to tournaments such as hotel and food.

HOW LONG IS THE SPRING & SUMMER SEASON?
Season play goes from March to July with practices starting in late February.

PLAYING TIME: HOW IS IT DETERMINED?
Since we are a select travel basketball organization, we understand the importance of teaching our players how to earn their playing time. We feel telling our players that everyone will get equal playing time is taking away from them the opportunity to take ownership and pride in working hard and earning their playing time. We believe its part of our responsibility to position our players for success in life for after basketball. And we want to see all of our players succeed both on and off the court. We cap our rosters at 12 so that all have an opportunity to contribute. Playing time is up to each coach and is based on ability, game situation, work ethic, coachability and practice attendance.

HOW DO I USE MY REMAINING FUNDRAISING FUNDS?
Apparel:

• Send us an email via the contact us page letting us know you’d like to purchase some apparel and how much you’d like to spend and we will respond with what’s required. (72hr notice)

Hotel Stays:

• Go to the Hotels tab on our website and find the hotel you’d like to stay at and then send us an email via the contact us page letting us know you’d like use your remaining balance to pay for an hotel for your tournament stay. The remainder of your funds must cover the entire stay. Send the address and name of the hotel and the name you’d like the reservation booked under. (72hr notice)
• Call the hotel of your choice directly and book your reservation. Let them know that your travel basketball club is paying for your stay. Tell them to send us a credit card authorization form. Include your name, reservation number and the total cost of your stay and we will do the rest. (72hr notice)
